Arabella Figg is a Squib (canon) that lives next door to Harry and his parents.

Mrs. Figg is Harry's neighbor and sometimes babysitter. She is a Squib, a non-witch born to wizarding parents.
When Harry tried to get an owl to deliver his letter to Hogwarts Mrs. Figg took it and told him she'd have someone there to talk to him in a jiffy or two.

- Despite the fact that in HPMoR the Verres-Evans family lives in Oxford rather than in Little Whinging, Mrs. Figg is Harry's neighbour and "occasional babysitter" the same way she is in canon. This may possibly imply that, just like in canon, she is a member of the Order of the Phoenix entrusted with watching over Harry on Dumbledore's orders, as this is the most plausible explanation for why she doesn't live in Little Whinging. But it is also possible that this is just a meta-reference to canon that is simply a coincidence from in-universe perspective, as this never comes up anywhere else in the story.
